It’s great when older children come in the studio as they present different challenges which is always fun. I photographed Arthur and Josef few years ago and now it lovely to meet their younger brother Wilf. I hope this shoot reminds parents that it is not only newborns who look great in photographs. Here’s a small handful from lots of fabulous images from their child photography shoot.

We had to wait a while for little Andrew to fall asleep to get the shots of him on daddy’s arm, but think it was well worth the wait! Newborn photography is very special as the babies only stay in their newborn curl for under ten days only. After that time, it’s unlikely that I could get photographs of a baby lying on their front on dad’s arm. On the positive side, I can usually create other just as stunning photographs, just in slightly different poses. Here’s sweet, little Andrew at just 8 days old.

I have been very busy recently and it’s been great to have help from my lovely assistant Sara – seems like everyone likes her plus I can now try new lighting and posing techniques which would have been impossible had it not been for her. Here are few images from Tracey and Johan’s pregnancy photography session which took place at my studio in Ealing, West London.

It was great to try out new props during Nolan’s newborn photography session. His mum brought the little hats which are so cute I ordered them immediately as I anticipate more people would like to use them as props in their baby photography shoots. If you are interested in having your little bundle photographed as a newborn, please bear in mind that some of the poses (especially the one in a hammock) are only possible if your baby is under 10 days old and hasn’t lost his newborn curl.

One week old Pixie Willow is just the sweetest little newborn baby – not only so well behaved, she let us take some beautiful photographs during her newborn photography session. Here is just a tiny selection from her shoot.
